⚫Water wisely: Check soil moisture—damp, not soggy (standing water breeds mosquitoes!).

⚫Winter care: Move plants indoors gradually to avoid shock; check for pests before bringing them in.

⚫Leaf mulch: Fallen leaves? Use them to cover soil—they retain moisture and enrich the earth.

⚫for short winter days try grow lights, it also works for sad looking houseplants in winter

Embrace Your Window Cage!

If you have metal bars outside your window—don’t see them as a cage, but as extra gardening space! They are a great structure for supporting your tomato plants or beans. In winter, they can even serve as a natural freezer.

Start Small, Grow Big

You don’t need a farm to enjoy fresh greens. A single pot of basil, some peppermint, a hanging tomato plant or some peppers can be the beginning of your urban jungle adventure and lots of pasta with homemade pesto.
