After our first Music Summer Camp at Singing Deer in 2023, Singing Deer and GPC will hold a music summer camp again this year. It’s all about music, rhythm, choreography, and performing. Once again, we want to produce a music video with all the campers.
This extraordinary music summer camp will be held at the Singing Deer lodge in Miyun. Foreign instructors and musicians will help the campers to improve their singing and performing skills. As an immersion English camp, your child will not only improve their English listening comprehension but also gain confidence in communicating with people from around the world in English. Each camper will be able to perform with the entire group as well as in smaller groups. At the end of the camp, we will have an on-stage performance for parents and other participants.
Highlights
Our workshops will offer a wide range of activities to practice musical and performing skills as well as communication in English. In the evenings, our team-building activities give a platform to your child to practice global skills, such as leadership, global communication and working in a team, while having fun and building friendships.
Singing Deer is the perfect place to shoot outdoor images for our music videos. Besides hiking to the Great Wall, stargazing at a camping ground, each child has the opportunity to rock-climb or walk on the rope course. For every day’s fitness training we will have Tabata sessions, which are a fun way to keep fit and move to the rhythm of music.

Instructors
Fabian
Fabian is the camp program designer. He has lead choirs in different countries and taught music since 1992. He holds a BA in Language teaching and a MA in Education and Curriculum. Besides outdoor sports he loves playing the piano and listening to music. Going to watch musical are a special highlight for him. He enjoys different types of concerts, and he hosts piano recitals. He has been working in Camps for more than 20 years and has been planning camps in China since 2009.
Elisabeth
Elisabeth is the Camp Director and has been in China since 2003. She was born in Germany. She holds a BS in Pediatric Nursing from Germany, and a BA in Chinese Language and Literature. She has worked as a nurse in China, and as a teacher in Chinese and in international schools.
For the second year she we be directing to Sing around the World Music camp, even though she does not play an instrument, she loves to sing and has together with Fabian lead several choirs in Beijing.
Alvin
Alvin has joined us for the fitness program in our Camps since 2023. Again, he will be the Fitness Instructor. He has studied in Kenya, Germany and China. Besides fitness and sports, Alvin enjoys music. He plays the guitar and piano and loves to sing. This will be his second time to participate in the Sing Around the World Music camp.
Campsite
For 10 years now Singing Deer Camps has been organizing a variety of camps held at the Singing Deer Lodge, an exclusive campsite. The lodge is located in Miyun, Beijing. The environment is stunningly beautiful, the air is fresh, and the vegetation coverage rate is as high as 90%. It is rated as a “Healthy Mountain Bar” project.
With 5,000 acres of mountains, it provides venues for different outdoor activities and exploration such as hiking the Great Wall, riding the zip line, practicing rock climbing…and more.
