Our Top Packing Tips:

  1. First and foremost: pack light. The list above is purposely a lightweight backpacking checklist of items that you will really need. Please carefully assess if you want to bring any additional items. It would be silly to try and bring all of the backpacking travel gear recommendations you may find in online guides.
  2. Pack eco-friendly products. Let us respect the Great Outdoors by not leaving any polluting trash behind. We recommend to avoid items that are single-use, items that come in unnecessary layers of plastic wrapping and/or items that are not easily biodegradable.
  3. Choose backpacking gear. These items are usually lightweight and easy to pack. For example, cookware and utensils suitable for backpacking are engineered to take up as little space (and weight) as possible and still function as well as your home’s kitchen cookware.
