We will start our Day 1 of the journey in China. As you step into the heart of Beijing, our inclusive transportation ensures a seamless journey from the airport to your hotel.
After checking in, take a moment to unwind and join an informative orientation session. What comes next is our first traditional Chinese calligraphy session that shows you the preparation and fundamental skills.
The evening starts with a special welcome dinner at a local restaurant, surrounding you with the rich flavors of traditional Chinese cuisine, featuring the iconic Peking Duck.
Day 2: Exploring Historical Beijing (Monday)
Awaken to Day 2 with another invigorating session of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting, setting the tone for a culturally rich experience.
As the morning unfolds, venture to the historic 18th-century Yuanmingyuan(圆明园), also known as the Old Summer Palace, where the echoes of the past resonate in the air.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the beauty of the Summer Palace (颐和园 pinyin: Yiheyuan), a serene haven blending nature and imperial grandeur.
As the day transitions into the evening, indulge in a captivating show at a local theater, adding a touch of artistry to your Beijing exploration.
Day 3: Landmarks of Beijing (Tuesday)
Day 3 begins with the tranquility of another traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting session.
In the morning, you will pay a visit to the sacred Temple of Heaven (天坛), an architectural masterpiece steeped in history.
Afternoon adventures unfold with a journey to the iconic Forbidden City(故宫) and the vast expanse of Tiananmen Square (天安门广场), offering a glimpse into China’s imperial and political legacy.
As the sun sets, you will hop on a night train to Pingyao, a unique blend of history and charm awaits in the ancient city. It is also known as one of the four best-preserved ancient cities in China.
Day 4: A Glimpse of Pingyao (Wednesday)
After you arrive in the ancient city, you will go through a short introduction session where you will gain a deeper understanding of this ancient legacy.
For the afternoon, you can stroll through the cobbled streets of the Ancient City of Pingyao, and walk on the city wall, providing a breathtaking panoramic view.
In the evening, you are invited to a local show, adding a touch of entertainment to your immersive exploration of Pingyao’s ancient allure.
Day 5: Discover Pingyao (Thursday)
Embark on Day 5 with a morning visit to the Shuang Lin Temple(双林寺) and Zhen Guo Temple (镇国寺), where the whispers of ancient spirituality come alive.
In the afternoon, you will delve deeper into the city’s charm, exploring a traditional shoe-making factory and enjoying free time for shopping, where local crafts and treasures await.
As the day winds down, you will board a night train, retracing the journey back to the bustling heart of Beijing.
Day 6: A mixture of modernity and tradition (Friday)
You will start Day 6 with the inspiration of traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting. It will be the last calligraphy session of this program.
In the morning, venture to the dynamic Minority Park and explore the charming Hutongs of Beijing, notably Nanluoguxiang (南锣鼓巷), where history and modernity intertwine.
The afternoon and evening are for you to set foot on a self-guided tour of shopping and sightseeing, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Beijing at your own pace.
Day 7: Great Wall (Saturday)
Day 7 starts with a morning excursion to the majestic Great Wall, challenge your limits, and embrace the ancient charm of Chinese defenders.
As the afternoon and evening start, treat yourself to a captivating acrobatics performance at the renowned Red Theatre.
Day 8: Academy and Arts (Sunday)
Embrace Day 8 as you explore the cultural legacy with a morning visit to the esteemed Imperial Academy (国子监 pinyin: Guozijian) and the tranquil Confucius Temple(孔庙), delving into the teachings of Confucianism and the ancient Chinese examination system.
Afternoon adventures take you to the lively 798 Art District, immersing yourself in contemporary creativity.
As the evening descends, it’s your moment to shine – present the traditional Chinese calligraphy or painting masterpiece you have been working on for a couple of sessions, which will add your personal touch to this enriching cultural journey.
Day 9: Wrap Up (Monday)
Day 9 unfolds with a morning review session, reflecting on the rich experiences of your cultural journey.
The afternoon invites you to indulge in shopping or self-guided exploration, savoring the final moments of your adventure.
As the evening approaches, bid farewell with a memorable dinner and a show at the renowned Lao She Tea House, creating lasting memories of your time in Beijing.
Day 10: Departure and closing ceremony (Tuesday)
Conclude your 10-day cultural journey with a morning closing ceremony and preparing for departure.
